Jane is a native of Minneapolis, MN. She majored in Sociology at the University of Minnesota and she has continued to be interested in the transformative nature of people and culture through her business experiences. Jane's prior business experiences include extensive sales and marketing management, specializing in business start-ups.
In 1986 Jane had her own business as a software and computer consultant to accounting professionals. From this, her interest in providing individual and business related tax services developed and she returned to school to become educated in the world of taxation.
Jane began her own tax business in 1991 and shared an office and staff with Mark Vanden Einde. In 2002, Jane and Mark formed their current partnership, FiveStar Tax and Business Services, LLC.
Jane currently lives in Columbia Heights with her husband. She has two stepsons and one grandchild. She enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, reading, music and spending time with her family and friends.
Mark grew up in Renville, MN, about 100 miles west of the Twin Cities. His education after high school was interrupted with a two year stint in the service. After school, Mark worked for small private corporations before starting his own business in 1981.
Mark currently lives in Minnetonka with his wife and has one daughter who is out of college and living and working in Des Moines, IA. He is an avid sports fan, enjoys traveling and spending time at the family cabin in Duluth.
Mark started Mark Vanden Einde & Associates in 1981, working out of his home. Throughout the years, he has grown his business through acquisitions and referrals. His office locations have changed related to this growth. In 1994 he changed the name of his business to FiveStar Tax and Financial Services. In 2002, Mark and his current partner, Jane Hensen, formed FiveStar Tax and Business Services, LLC. Mark also manages the Financial Services division at FiveStar and has been fully licensed since 1986.
